Chiang Mai cafe group with a central roastery on the Ping River.

Thanit Suvanish is named as founder and owner, and opened the Ping River branch in January 2018. The Coffee Roaster branch is the roastery for the whole chain. At the Ping River branch, the shop's team roasts more than one hundred choices of coffee beans, and popular blends include Berries Blend, Strawberry Cheesecake and Peach Blend.

The brand's website lists nine branches: eight in Chiang Mai, from Jing Jai Village and Nimman to the airport, and one at Central Pattaya Beach.

At this shop

The shop sits on Soi 9 off Nimmanhaemin Road behind a paved forecourt, with THE BARISOTEL lettered across a two-storey glass front and an umbrella table and a bench along the hedge outside. Inside, the room is double height, with tall paned windows down one side, a long banquette along the other wall and a mezzanine with a dining table behind a white grid railing. A white-tiled bar runs along one side, and a Bar Cha counter stands against a timber wall.
